After serving for several decades as a pediatric surgeon in the United States, Dr. Saad Saad one day received a call that would change his life forever. He got a rare opportunity to serve as the personal doctor for the Saudi Royal family. Most people would probably wonder why a surgeon from New Jersey could qualify for such a prestigious position. Nonetheless, Dr. Saad Saad success story has a lot to do with his education and upbringing. He was born in Palestine and raised in Kuwait. He came from a family of eight children three of which are surgeons, two Master Degree holders in Engineering, two PhDs and a teacher.

 

When it comes to his educational background, Dr. Saad Saad went to Cairo University in Egypt where he earned his medical degree 47 years ago. He was ranked the second student in his class. After completing his studies in Egypt, Saad Saad proceeded to England where he undertook his internship before moving to the United States 45 year ago. While in the United States, Dr. Saad Saad took did his residency in surgery and pediatric surgery. He also became board-Certified in pediatric surgery, something which is not easy to achieve in the U.S.

 

A renowned and respected pediatric surgeon

 

Dr. Saad Saad has been known for his great and vast experience in pediatric surgery. He has performed thousands of successful pediatric surgeries both in the U.S and abroad. He also has 2 patents under his name and invented numerous pediatric surgical procedures that are currently being used in various hospitals around the world.

 

While in Riyadh, Dr. Saad Saad was posted to work at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital. He was to perform both simple and complex operations as instructed by the Protocol Office and the Chief of the Hospital. He did his first operation on a baby who had been admitted with an aneurysm. It was the first case in the hospital and most people were uncertain if the baby would survive. However, Dr. Saad Saad successfully operated the baby and saved its life.

 

Service both for the rich and the poor

 

Although he worked for a high-end hospital which mainly served the royal family and the rich, Dr. Saad Saad also treated people from the UAE and the Persian Gulf.
